At Gateway, we are passionate about seeing people baptised as a symbol of their commitment to Christ. Before your big moment, we will guide you through a two-part online course on the theology and practicalities of baptism.
Register your interest in getting baptised using the link below.
As a church, we love to dedicate our babies/children to God as a symbol of our intentions to bring them up in the Christian faith.
If you would like to dedicate your child/ren, please register your interest below by emailing us. You will then be contacted directly to discuss your application. Parents are required to attend a pre-dedication meeting with our church leaders, and they have to join a waiting list until a space for dedication is available.
Children mean everything to us at Gateway! We believe they are the Church of tomorrow AND today, and the heart beat of the Father. We are committed to doing whatever it takes to make sure children ‘…come to Jesus…’ (Mark 10:14).
Through our Sunday programs, we aim to create a faith foundational, fun filled, encouraging and loving environment that will nurture and develop a passion within our children to pursue the Father heart of God.
By actively encouraging praise, worship and prayer; and through stories, drama, arts, crafts and games, we build an understanding of faith that will captivate their hearts and build the next generation.
‘Flourish’ is the ladies ministry here at Gateway Christian Centre West Bromwich.
We operate very much on our corporate vision ‘a Gateway for the presence and power of God to touch lives, and change the spiritual climate of the region‘.
It is a platform and opportunity for ladies to develop personally as well as collectively. We aim to provide an environment conducive for the Holy spirit to flow. One that is built on unity and love.
We have a number activities throughout the year, studies, fun walks, workshops, picnics, films and a favourite… afternoon tea. Each moment provides an opportunity to share, learn and most importantly ‘Flourish’ thus changing your climate as you move. Jon is often heard saying “you don’t get wet looking at the river, you need to jump in”.
We encourage you now, it is the testimony of many women that ‘Flourish‘ has been a conduit for them settling and finding their ‘fit’ at Gateway.
In the Bible there are many men of faith and courage and we can learn much from their exploits.
We have Abraham who was a man whose journey was established by trusting God and Joseph, who obeyed God even when the circumstances of life probably meant that he didn’t feel like it. Peter was a man who eventually didn’t let his failures define him and John the baptiser lived his life for Another. Caleb had “a Different Spirit” and followed God “wholeheartedly.” David was anointed by God and recognised his authority to do the work of God. Nehemiah identified a problem to solve. He stood up, looked out and called the nation to action.
Daniel knew the price to be paid for worshipping God and when he knew the decree, he went into his house; and with his windows being open in his room toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times a day to worship God.
In Ezekiel 22:30, God laments the lack of someone to stand “in the gap” for His people. God is calling men to rise and stand in the gap. It’s my heart that as the men of Gateway come to fellowship and pray together that the Holy Spirit will stir things up in us and cause us rise and be courageous men for His Kingdom.
