A few times throughout the year, we hold baptism services for members of Gateway Christian Centre. These take place on a select weekends throughout the year and are based at the Gateway Campus.
DOCTRINE
Baptism in water by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord. It is the outward sign of what God has already done in the individual’s life, and is a testimony to all that the person now belongs to Jesus.
The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12; Acts 8:36-38).
INFORMATION
The people who have chosen to be baptised invite close friends and family to witness their outward obedience in being baptised to demonstrate what God has done for them in their hearts.
It is a great opportunity to celebrate what God has done in their lives and for the church to show their support to these individuals.
Please feel free to come and join us support those who are being baptised.

Details of training – This is split into two compulsory one hour classes which helps to prepare those considering water baptism. The first session will be a time to share some wisdom and biblical truth about water baptism and provide time for questions to be asked. The second session will help to prepare you to deliver your testimony and be fully prepared for your water baptism day.
